Our solicitors are approachable and accessible and regularly update you throughout the duration of your case. We can also arrange meetings, if necessary, in the evening or at the weekend at a time that suits you. If you are unable to visit the office, due to an injury or disability, we can organise a home visit in appropriate cases.

Ben was admitted as a solicitor in 1991 and is the Managing Partner and Head of the Personal Injury Department. He is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and a past Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and past Member of the College of Personal Injury Law. He remains a longstanding member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Since 1999 Ben has been a part-time Tribunal Judge for the Social Entitlement Chamber.

Ben has a particular interest in taking on matters that have been rejected by other law practices, as well as conducting more serious injury claims.

Kate is the Head of the Family Department and was admitted on the Roll of Solicitors in 2010. She is a Childcare Panel Member and a member of Resolution.

Kate specialises in acting for parents when the local authority becomes involved. She advises at Child Protection Conferences, represent parents under the Public Law Outline and during Care Proceedings as well as dealing with Special Guardianship Orders, contact with a child in care, discharging Care Orders and Adoption issues.

Stephanie qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and her primary field of expertise is in divorce and financial cases.  An interest in international family law, particularly relating England, Australia and Europe, developed during her 14 years at a Legal 500 niche family law firm in central London. Stephanie has since continued to consult for a number of well-regarded firms, retaining her interest in cases with an international element. Her approach is to try to assist clients in resolving cases with as little aggravation and stress as possible, whilst standing up for them when a robust approach is required.

Practice Manager
Saranjit joined GC Solicitors in March 2015 and is the Practice Manager. She is responsible for the daily running of the office and deals with administration, accounts and finance, HR and recruitment, marketing and business development and SRA compliance.

Sylvia was admitted to Roll of Solicitors in 2002 and works within the firm’s Personal Injury Department

Sylvia works within the firm’s Personal Injury Department. She trained with a specialist personal injury law firm in London and has 17 years’ experience conducting a wide range of personal injury claims, including amputation injury, head injury, fatal accidents and psychiatric injury claims. She is part of the Road Victims Trust Lawyers Probono Group representing bereaved families at inquests and is Litigator member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Samantha Martin qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and deals with Children and Family Law. She has been a member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2012. Samantha specialises in children law and represents parents, children and other relatives in care proceedings involving children’s social services. She is also experienced in private law disputes relating to children including Child Arrangement Orders (contact and residence), Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders, Relocation of children outside the jurisdiction and internal relocation within.

Claire began her legal career in 1996 and joined GC Solicitors in January 2018. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives  (FCILEx) and deals with all aspects of Family Law including applications for domestic violence injunctions and Public Law proceedings.

For the last year Claire has been supporting a young person through gender transition.  Throughout this process numerous medical, education and legal challenges have required her advocacy and support.  As a result she has gained insight, empathy and valuable experience in this relatively new area of law.

Ruth joined the firm in 2010 as a temporary secretary for our Personal Injury Department and is now a Trainee Chartered Legal Executive having completed the CILEx Level 6 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice. 

Ruth deals with many aspects of Personal Injury claims but particularly road traffic accidents, claims involving children, workplace and highways accidents.

Amanda joined GC Solicitors in November 2016 and has been a costs lawyer since 2010. She is a member of the Association of Costs Lawyers and is regulated by the Costs Lawyer Standards Board. Her areas of expertise are Family Law, Children Law and she has some experience of Personal Injury work. Amanda is also a Commissioner of Oaths.

Kathryn is a longstanding member of the firm’s secretarial team, having been with us for some 24 years.  In that time she has gained experience in various departments within the firm and has provided valuable assistance to the Personal Injury Department for a number of years.  Outside of work Kathryn enjoys spending time with the family and socialising.
